What You Can Expect When Working with an Interior Designer?

What can you expect working with an interior designer

If you've never worked with an Interior Designer before and have home projects you don't want to tackle, you might wonder what it's like.

Wonder no more! Today I'm sharing my design process for a great end result that makes my clients jump for joy. While each project I work on is different, I use the same approach to ensure the quality of my work is high and to instill trust in my clients. I feel very honored when someone chooses to invest in their home with me.

Here is what you can expect...

What is it like working with an interior designer

Discover Your Vision

I always start with a design discovery call.  We do this Zoom call so you can tell me about your project goals, desired completion date, what service I offer that may best suit you, and answer your questions.

Next, we'll schedule an in-home design consultation. I'll meet with you and all decision-makers during this meeting to discuss your project, how you live, and your design aesthetic.

This initial consultation is a working meeting where I freely give my knowledge, insights, and suggestions. This meeting will provide valuable information and clarify how we can move forward together. This first valuable meeting will save you time, money, and mistakes.

Develop the Design

Now the real fun begins! I'll create a design solution based on your needs and preferences. Your design solution could include a concept, floor plans, 3D renderings, furniture, décor, material samples, and more.

When I present your design solution, I'll work with you to refine it until it meets all your wants and needs. I'll also provide guidance on allocating your investment to the most advantageous aspects of your project. Some parts are not worth skimping. I can also refer you to my preferred contractors and tradespeople to help us complete your project.

Enjoy the Transformation

Once your design solution is finalized, I'll work with the contractors and tradespeople to bring your project to life. This involves ordering, scheduling, coordinating deliveries, addressing back orders, and change orders.

Your project would run without a single hiccup in a perfect world, but since that's not realistic, I promise you that I'll always present a problem and offer solutions. I will advocate for you and your project's success from that first call to the final installation of your last window treatment or custom cabinet.
